Houkago Princess LOVE has MOVED!!!

5 Dec

This is a little late announcement-wise, however after I stopped updating the Blog, I eventually made an unofficial Fansite for Houkago Princess back in 2013. Whilst it is not in a blog format, I still have the site updated with news and such. I may not always update when something new happens, however I have kept better track with that site than this one.

The Houkago Princess LOVE Website features a bit more, as well; it may not have day-by-day updates, however it includes links to videos, lyrics for their songs, a History archive, past and present member biographies (not all may be there, however; information can be hard to come by!) and an updated discography (minus the concert DVD’s they have released, sadly).

I apologise for disappearing suddenly from here; At the time I did that, I was focusing more on my own blog where I continued to update on HouPri, however I failed to do so here. Again, I apologise.

Hopefully, you will find the new website a little more useful. One day I might return to this blog with frequent HouPri updates, who knows?

Please, visit the website for Houkago Princess LOVE HERE! I worked hard to build the site for fans of the group who can read and speak English, so if this is helpful, then I am happy!

Until we meet again.

Houkago Princess: Let’s TRY! Vol. 3

25 Feb

It’s time for Volume 3 of Houpri’s Let’s TRY! series, where the girls try different challenges set by others, such as staff members. It seems that their 3rd challenge is a Japanese tongue twister, where the girls each take turns saying it.

This is another cute video from the HouPri girls that gives you a bit of a look into how they act and what they can do! There is alsoa  bonus clip at the end where we see the girls colouring ^^

Odagiri Nana 22 kaime no Seitan matsuri! Zenpen ~Houkago Princess~★

25 Feb

Ikebukuro TV uploaded a small clip of Houkago Princess’ latest stage performance, which celebrated Odagiri Nana’s 22nd Birthday. The video shows a full performance of a new HouPri song, titled Chou Happy Birthday, a short performance of HouPri’s second single A-side, Juliet ~Kimi wo Suki na 100 no Riyuu~ and a small performance of their special Christmas release, Uchuu Ichii no Christmas. Also included in the video are small birthday messages to Nana from the other HouPri members as well as the technical team behind the group. There is also an introcdction segment for the girls after Chou Happy Birthday.

The video is very cute, and introduces a new song from Houkago Princess. Please enjoy this adorable release from the group!

6. Sukima (Instrumental)

The tracklisting for Houkago Princess’ second indies single has finally been released, and as you can see, only Type A and Type B have six tracks on them, whilst the regular edition only has four. And, like most singles with a Type A and B edition, there are two different tracks, with one featured on a certain Type single. Type A has ‘PURE HEART’, which is sung by ‘Team Black’, which consists of Nana, Mayuka and Yuuki (currently, I am unsure of which team Aoi and Rena are in) whilst Type B has the song ‘Sukima’, which is performed by ‘Team White’ and consists of Yumeka, Sakino and Hitomi. Both of these songs are great editions, and I am sure that the fans will choose the song that they like the most, or whichever song features their favourite member.

I think that these two songs are great editions to HouPri’s growing list of songs to sing at concerts, and when the single is released, I’m sure that the fans will enjoy listening to all of these songs, regardless of who sings them. Whilst all of these songs may be quite cute, they fit HouPri well.

‘Juliet ~Kimi wo Suki na 100 no Riyuu~’ regular edition will be released on February 24th, whilst the Limited A and B releases will be released on February 29th.

Happy Birthday, Odagiri Nana!~

18 Feb

Today, February 18th, is the birthday of Houkago Princess’ devoted leader, Odagiri Nana! She has now turned 22 years old, and barely a year has passed since she became the leader of such a cute group!

Nana updated her blog with a picture of herself, showing the youthfulness she has whilst turning 22 today. She also hopes that she will be able to have all the fans enjoy her birthday festival for the HouPri concert, which started at 15:00 and the curtains pulled up at 15:30 (it is currently 15:47 in Japan as I write this), so, let’s wish Nana a Happy Birthday and hope that her celebration concert is filled with fun and cheer!

Happy Birthday, Nana!

100 Reasons to Love You ~Juliet~ PV Revealed!

17 Feb

Houkago Princess have released the PV for their second single, titled Juliet ~Kimi no Suki na 100 no Riyuu~ or, as I kept calling it, 100 Reasons to Love You ~Juliet~ – It’s finally here!

This is HouPri’s second single, and the first official single to feature the new members, Aoi and Rena.

This is a very cute and innocent PV which shows the girls dancing in their pure white dresses as well as showing a short story line where Hitomi is entranced by a certain someone, causing concern for the other members of HouPri who want to know who she is so infatuated with.

The song is very cute and innocent, just like the girls themselves, and is a great addition to the HouPri tracklist.

Please enjoy this cute and innocent PV from HouPri!!!

Houkago Princess: Let’s TRY! Vol. 2

9 Feb

Ikebukuro TV, a regular online updater of activities on anything happening in Ikebukuro, has updated their youtube channel with a new video featuring Houkago Princess. The video itself is only 4 minutes long, however it still shows the cuteness of the girls.

Houkago Princess: Let’s TRY is basically short segments of the HouPri girls taking on challenges or tasks for the fun of the audience. Volume. 1 showed the girls blowing kisses to the camera and saying their names. That first video is very cute, and can show how confident or shy the girls are.

Volume 2 shows one of the first realy challenges that the girls have to do which seems to be common in Japan: Eating something that is usually quite nice, with the twist that one of these sweets has something nasty in it. The sweet that isn’t pleasant will be picked out by one of the members, but who will choose it?

Despite how short the video is, it was fun to watch – especially with how the girls chose the sweets and tried to figure out if they were the ‘bad egg’ of the bunch. It just showed another side to these girls, and was entertaining. I hope that everyone else enjoys it as much as I did!
